The Sentiment Analysis section of Thirdeye’s dashboard shows how positively, neutrally, or negatively your brand is perceived across AI-generated answers. It goes beyond raw mentions to measure tone and perception.


Core Metrics

  • Sentiment Score

    • Average positivity of all brand mentions (0–100%).

    • Example: 78.5% sentiment score → 65% positive, 28% neutral, 7% negative.

  • Sentiment Breakdown

    • Positive (70–100%): Praise, strong recommendations, favourable comparisons.

    • Neutral (30–69%): Balanced or factual mentions without opinion.

    • Negative (0–29%): Criticism, complaints, or unfavourable comparisons.


Benchmarks by Industry

  • SaaS/Technology: 70–80% average

  • Consumer Products: 65–75% average

  • Financial Services: 60–70% average

  • Healthcare: 75–85% average


Interpretation Scale

  • 90–100%: Exceptional, rare—investigate what drives this.

  • 75–89%: Excellent, shows strong positive perception.

  • 60–74%: Good, but opportunities for improvement.

  • 45–59%: Concerning, needs corrective action.

  • 0–44%: Critical, immediate action required.


Action Triggers

  • Positive Clusters: Amplify themes that consistently drive praise (e.g., “great customer support”).

  • Neutral Mentions: Turn factual mentions into advocacy by adding content or features that highlight strengths.

  • Negative Trends: Address root causes—misinformation, weak positioning, or product gaps.
